Exciting New Expansion Coming This December 2024
Deer Valley Resort is entering an exciting new phase of growth with the Expanded Excellence initiative, starting in December for the 2024-25 ski season. This ambitious project will introduce over 300 additional skiable acres and three new chairlifts, providing a thrilling new experience for skiers of all levels. The new lifts, including the Keetley Express, will connect Deer Valley’s existing terrain to the brand-new East Village, giving skiers access to this expanded terrain while easing congestion at the main entrances.
The Keetley Express, Deer Valley’s first high-speed six-person chairlift with a bubble, will transport skiers from the East Village to the base of Bald Mountain near the Sultan Express lift. Additionally, the Hoodoo Express and Aurora lifts will service newly developed beginner-level trails, offering even more variety for families and newcomers to the resort. This expansion represents the resort's first major terrain development since 2008, showcasing Deer Valley’s commitment to delivering premier skiing experiences.
For those looking to make the most of après-ski, the new East Village will also offer amenities such as rental shops, ticketing, and a ski storage facility, with a shuttle service available to transport skiers from the new parking areas. A special feature for this season will be the introduction of a unique ski-in/ski-out après yurt, offering a one-of-a-kind relaxation spot right on the mountain.
This is just the beginning, as future phases will expand the skiable terrain by another 3,700 acres, making Deer Valley one of the largest ski resorts in North America by 2026.
